LETTER OF THE FREUDIAN CAUSE

There is the repressed. Always. It is irreducible.
To elaborate the unconscious, as is done in analysis, is nothing but to produce
this hole. Freud himself, I remind you, makes reference to it.

This seems to me to converge, pertinently, with death.
To the death that I identify with the fact that, “like the sun”, as the other says, cannot be looked at in the face.
So I don't look at it any more than anyone else. I do what I have to do, which is
to face the fact of the unconscious as opened up by Freud.

In this, I am alone.

Then there is the group. I want “The Cause” to hold up.
– The cartel works. It's enough not to obstruct it, except to vectorise, which I give the formula for, and to permutate.
– There is a Board of Management. Its leaders are in place for two years – after which they change.
– Committees assist them, also for two years.
– An annual assembly, known as the Administrative Assembly, has to deal with the running of things; it is a permanent body.
– Every two years, a Congress, to which all are invited.
– Finally, a Council, called statutory, is the guarantor of what I institute.

The Cause will have its School. From which the A.M.S. will proceed from the Freudian Cause now.

The Pass will produce the new A.S. – always new in that being for the time, that is to say, three years, testifying in the School.

For it is better that this A.S. should pass, before becoming wedged [s’encastrer] into the caste.
